Joe Burrow’s four touchdown passes carry Bengals past late Dolphins rally
Joe Burrow threw four touchdown passes and the Cincinnati Bengals did just enough of everything else Sunday to leave Hard Rock Stadium with a 31-24 win over the Miami Dolphins. Cincinnati finished drives more cleanly, protected Burrow throughout and survived Miami’s 217-yard rushing day behind two interceptions from Jordan Battle.

The Jacksonville Jaguars left Cincinnati with a 22-17 win that looked unusual on the stat sheet and entirely earned on the scoreboard. Jacksonville gave up yards, absorbed 13 penalties and still controlled the decisive moments behind Cam Little’s leg, Trevor Lawrence’s efficiency and a defence that turned Joe Burrow over twice.

Chris Boswell broke a 27-27 tie with a 33-yard field goal at 2:15 of the fourth quarter, sending the Pittsburgh Steelers past the Cincinnati Bengals 30-27 on Sunday at Acrisure Stadium. In a game with four lead changes or ties after halftime, Boswell’s two late kicks gave Pittsburgh the last answer.

The cleanest explanation for Cincinnati’s 20-6 win over Houston is that the Bengals knew exactly where their points were coming from, and the Texans never solved that question. Ja’Marr Chase caught both touchdowns, Evan McPherson added two long field goals, and Houston’s 374 yards dissolved into six points.

A six-point final can hide a wider truth. The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 33-27 at Paycor Stadium by doing the less glamorous work better: protecting the ball, cashing in with their kicker, and making Tampa Bay pay for every loose possession.
