What happens at The Princess Bride in Concert?

Buttercup and Westley’s adventure gets a live musical backdrop in Portland. Oregon Symphony performs Mark Knopfler’s score alongside the film, with Ron Spigelman conducting. The appeal is hearing the music played in the hall while the story unfolds on screen.

The orchestra lists a running time of approximately two hours and two minutes, including one intermission. That makes the performance length useful when planning dinner or a journey home, although it is an estimate rather than a guaranteed finishing time.

There are two performances at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall: Saturday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 18 at 2 p.m. Both times are local to Portland. Choose the correct date when checking seats; a listing for one performance does not establish availability for the other.
